  Hello Alicija. I was in Polland in October 2008. I spent one day in Krakow on 15th on my way to Lithuania, and one day in Warsaw on 20th on my way back.
  Nice country and good roads. I'd like to explore it more some day.

  Let me tell you a story. In the hotel I stayed in Krakow, I aksed the receptionist how was the way to Warsaw I was about to drive the next day. He said that the only problem waw the roads.
  I expected to see some terrible situation and I was prepared negatively. The other day I saw some of the best roads I've ever driven (and I have driven in 12 countries in Europe)!!!!!
  Generally, the part I drove in Polland was one of the best roads I've ever seen. I don't know about the country side.

 Everybody judges according to their standards. You appreciate what you have when only you see the other side too. Probably, you have never visited Greece. Do it and then we can talk about roads again!!



PS: I'll definitely visit Polland again as it is on my way to Lithuania.

Especially in Crete ;-) I was there last summer after many years and had "fun" with the roads. A local told me that signs are missing because locals pick up the poles for their fences etc. 

Living the UK I am spoilt: tarmac is slightly uneven but as good as in Brands Hatch  Also signing is exemplary and drivers are very understanding and polite If all those "big brother" cameras were not there...
